Unison Technologies, Inc. ("Unison") recognizes the importance of protecting your personally identifiable information (your "personal information"). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy through instituting policies and security measures intended to ensure that your personal information is handled in a responsible and safe manner. This Privacy Policy is posted on the Unison Web site in order to inform you as to the type of information we collect, how it is used and with whom it may be shared. This Privacy Policy applies to the Unison Web site and the Unison products and services.


Collection of personal information

When you engage in specific activities on the Unison Web site, such as ordering software or downloading software, Unison requests that you provide certain information by filling out and submitting an online form. Unison may also obtain personal information during the course of your use of the Unison products and services. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your name, title, company, mailing, billing or shipping address, work e-mail address, work phone number, credit card information and other personal information.


Children's guidelines

Unison requires that all customers purchasing or downloading software be 18 years of age or older. Children are not knowingly provided with access to Unison products and services in which any personal information is collected beyond a visitor’s IP address and session status. Unison does not knowingly collect personal information from children 13 years of age and under.


Use of personal information

You understand and agree that Unison, its subsidiaries and affiliates may collect, transfer, store and process your personal information to:

  • Deliver to you and bill you for Unison products and services and communicate with you concerning your account and customer service issues. When you order products and services, the information that you provide may also be provided to a third party for credit card verification and billing purposes.
  • Provide our software license providers with the information required for the purpose of software licensing compliance and licensing usage calculation.
  • Determine if you meet the minimum system requirements to use Unison’s software, and to provide information regarding compatibility to you.
  • Provide your account information to third parties providing services in support of our delivery of the Unison products and services to you.
  • Provide you with Unison newsletters, information regarding service and software updates, targeted advertising, promotions and special offers.
  • Provide you with the service, instructions and assistance for a more personalized experience based on the information you provide to us, such as your language preferences, country locations, business type and any content or other preferences.
  • Provide information to third party service and product providers selected by you. Such information you provide to Unison or directly to the third party service or product provider will be subject to the privacy policy of such party and not this Privacy Policy.
  • Access, use, preserve or disclose your personal information to satisfy any applicable law, rule, regulation, legal process or governmental request and/or to protect the rights, property and safety of Unison, its users or the public as required or permitted by law. We have no duty to notify you under such circumstances.

Unison does not rent, sell or otherwise distribute your personal information to third parties without your consent.


Website log files

Like many other websites, the Unison Web site automatically collects certain information and stores it into log files. This information does not identify users individually and is not linked to your personal information. Collecting and storing such information allows Unison to analyze trends, diagnose problems with our servers, track the activity and movements of users around the site and gather demographic information about our user base.

To allow us to improve the Unison Web site and better respond to your orders and requests, we use "cookies" to track your visit. Security of customer information

The security of your personal information is important to us. The Unison Web site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or modification of your personal information. Type of license

When you purchase and/or download Unison software, the type of license you choose will determine how personal information is shared with third party marketers.

  • For those who purchase a commercial license for the Unison products and services, Unison will not share, distribute or disclose your personal information with third party marketers.
  • For those who enter into a no-fee license for the Unison products and services, Unison creates an index of any of your information stored or processed by the Unison server, including without limitation information on your calendar, instant messaging, phone data and email messages, in order to deliver appropriately targeted advertisements and related links to you. Unison may share, distribute or disclose your personal information with third party marketers in order to provide you with targeted ads based on the content of the your activity.

Updating personal information

If you wish to change or modify your information, would like change to a commercial license in order to not receive targeted advertisements and related links or do not want to receive any future communications with Unison, please contact us at info@unison.com.


Changes to this policy

As we continue to develop the Unison Web site and the products and services, this Privacy Policy may change. Unison may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, which modified version shall be immediately effective upon posting at http://www.unison.com/about-us/privacy.php.
