Unison includes Unison Desktop™, a native desktop client. Running on either Windows or Linux, it replaces legacy clients such as Microsoft Outlook® or Lotus Notes®. Unison Desktop is easy to use and feels familiar to people who know other clients.
Unison Desktop can do everything that a legacy e-mail client does today – and much more. Because it is fully-unified and works with Unison Server, a user sees all e-mail, instant messages, phone calls, voicemails, calendars and contacts in a single application.
To learn more, you should read our Unison Desktop feature list or view our overview slides and unified features. You can also try a Unison demo which lets you download the Unison Desktop client and test it using our managed Unison Servers.
Here is how Unison Desktop compares to Microsoft Outlook:

Note: the comparison above assumes the use of Unison Server and Microsoft Exchange 2007 respectively as back-end systems.
To understand how Unison Desktop – with Unison Server – is superior to non-unified communications such as Microsoft Outlook/Exchange 2007, see our feature list, view its unified features or see our overview slides. You can also download Unison Desktop for free and get an instant demo account.
Unison Desktop is a native client with both a Windows and Linux version for end users. It runs on each user's desktop and connects to your company's central Unison Server.
From the Unison Desktop client, users get always-synchronized access to their e-mail, instant messages, telephone calls, voicemails, calendars, address books and more. They can also control settings such as 'out of office' notifications, telephone call forwarding and free/busy status – so colleagues always know how to reach them.
